Austin Peay alumna Veronica Marable Johnson recognized for outstanding hospitality

Veronica Marable Johnson ('90), an Austin Peay State University business graduate, was recently honored by News Channel 5 for her exceptional contributions to Nashville's hospitality industry.
Johnson, who currently serves as Vice President of Programs & Event Logistics at the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, was featured for going above and beyond during a medical emergency involving a California visitor at a Chamber event. Her compassionate response exemplifies the outstanding service that earned her recognition as a "Music City Hitmaker."
This month marks Johnson's eighth anniversary with the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, where she leads a team supporting businesses throughout the region. Before her Chamber role, Johnson built an impressive career spanning banking, human resources, and logistics after graduating from Austin Peay.
"Hospitality is...the engine, it's the heartbeat, it's the secret sauce," Johnson told News Channel 5, highlighting what makes Nashville special.
