This resource, created by the U.S. Energy Information Administration, is aimed at upper elementary students. This free educational resource is all about energy. It has really good information for students, puzzles (crosswords and word searches), experiments, and quizzes.

DiscoveryKids has 12 different topics that students can explore including science, animals, earth, space, etc. Each topic has quizzes, games, activities, and photographs to aid in student learning. MathGame Time is a free science and math resource for students ranging from PreK to 7th grade. Subjects include: geography, shapes, and time and money. The subjects also have associated games, videos, and worksheets.

Monster Sciences offers a variety of lessons, printables, and experiment ideas for various science topics.

The LearningLab acts as a virtual library of Smithsonian resources for public use. Users can discover new resources, create their own, and share them with a collaborative community. Users have the option of creating a log on for use of this program.

ZoomPBS is an older resource but still has a lot of fun activities for elementary age students. Click on "Activities from the Show" on the Zoom home page to see all of the activity ideas they provide. The subjects highlighted are: chemistry, engineering, the five senses, forces, life science, patterns, sounds, structures, and water.

As with many others, this resource is both for students and for educators. However, the subjects covered with this resource are limited. Additionally, users must have an up-to-date version of Flash to use this tool. 

This site is geared towards upper middle school chemistry students. The provided link takes you to the educator part of the website which explains the tools they provide. From there you can get to the ' version of the site which is purely games.

This free resource caters to instructors an learns in the computational science field. Educators can explore lessons and discussions on the topics they will be teaching in class. Rice has created a WebAdventures site geared towards giving students a glimpse of what science careers really look like. They offer various games to bring students through a practical problem of todays world. 

Lots of fun activities to explore on this site as the Smithsonian has a wealth of information. Great topics to explore: Science & Nature, Everything Art, History & Culture, and People & Places. Students can sort leaves by type, conduct flight experiments, learn about time, and much more.

The Concord Consortium works to bring technology into the other aspects of the STEM field: science, engineering, and math.  Users can explore resources in the following subjects: physics and chemistry, life science, engineering, earth and space, and mathematics. If you make an account with this site, you can assign work to your students, allow them to save their work, and more. 

Edheads is geared for online interaction in math and science exploration. There is a small selection of free games available as well as access to other games with the purchase of a membership. The intended grade levels for each game are specified on the home page of each game.

The Exploratorium is a resource provided by the Museum of Science, Art and Human Perception in San Francisco, CA. The exploratorium provides tools for teaching and learning as well activities, blogs, and videos that are useful resources for both students and teachers. There are over 25 topics for users to explore.

This free educational resource was created by the College of Physicians of Philadelphia. This website provides a timeline, activities, articles, and more all dealing with the details of vaccines. 

Biointeractive, created by HHMI, has hundreds of free science education resources. Users can browse resources by topic, type, or collections. This website contains resources for both the instructor and the classroom.
