Vaccine Standby List
Over the last three weeks, Austin Peay State University has administered almost 1,000
doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, with several faculty and staff among those
receiving shots. Tennessee is now opening vaccinations up to residents who are 55
and older, and anyone who qualifies under Phase 2 of the state’s vaccination plan.
At Austin Peay, we’ve been able to deliver doses to those outside that phase – younger
individuals and individuals without pre-existing conditions – thanks to our standby
list. Since early March, we’ve encouraged ALL faculty and staff to sign up for this
list so we can quickly vaccinate more individuals with doses we have leftover. On
Wednesday, we vaccinated more than 70 APSU employees on that standby list.
If you haven’t already signed up for this list – regardless of the state’s vaccination
phase – please do so now. In the coming days, we will open up the standby list to
students to ensure they are also protected. The addition of students will increase
demand for the limited number of doses we have remaining at the end of the day.
To sign up for the standby list, or to update your information, visit this . Once a person on the standby list receives a vaccine, they will schedule an appointment
to receive their second dose.
If you signed up previously but have since received a vaccination at another location,
please email apsu-vaccine@apsu.edu to remove yourself from the list.
