The Department of Housing/Residence Life & Dining Services is committed to fostering vibrant residential communities that integrate living and learning. In pursuit of this goal, we are reimagining our Living-Learning Communities (LLCs) to create immersive, inclusive and dynamic environments that catalyze student success.

College of Business
The College of Business Living-Learning Community provides business students with a supportive and collaborative environment, offering clustered classes and opportunities for faculty-student interaction. Through guest speakers, College of Business events, and service opportunities, students develop deep relationships and engage in experiential learning, promoting academic success and retention. Japanese Interest
Department of History and Philosophy
The Japanese Interest Living-Learning Community integrates Japanese language classes with complementary history and Asian studies courses, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of Japanese culture and society. This immersive program, which includes a potential winter study abroad option in Japan, aims to equip students with valuable knowledge and skills to succeed in a globally competitive economy. The Govs Success Institute Living-Learning Community offers incoming students an early start to academic success, connection with faculty and peers, and a sense of belonging at Austin Peay State University. Through engaging workshops, campus resource access, and co-curricular activities, students build self-confidence and prepare for a successful transition to university life. Living Green
Student Affairs - Community Engagement & Sustainability
The Living Green Living-Learning Community empowers students to adopt environmentally friendly lifestyles through weekly discussions, community-building activities, and staff mentoring. Students explore various eco-topics, such as carbon footprints, recycling, and conservation, while fostering connections with like-minded peers over family-style dinners.
