CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Austin Peay State University’s Center for Extended and Distance Education is offering healthcare training programs that will prepare students to enter the healthcare industry – the largest employment sector in the country today. The Phlebotomy Technician Training program is planned with busy adults in mind.
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Austin Peay State University’s Center for Extended and Distance Education is offering healthcare training programs that will prepare students to enter the healthcare industry – the largest employment sector in the country today. The Phlebotomy Technician Training program is planned with busy adults in mind.
Phlebotomy Technician Training is a 9-week course that provides training designed to prepare students for a career as a phlebotomist in the growing healthcare workforce. Following 54 hours of classroom instruction, students will experience a hands-on externship with a local healthcare facility as part of their training. Textbooks, classroom materials and externship placement are all included in the course fee.
To introduce students to the program, a free information session will be held at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015, in the APSU Sundquist Science Complex, room E-106A.
