APSU employees share recent professional developments, activities

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. 鈥 Faculty and staff members at Austin Peay State University recently announced achievements as part of their professional and scholarly activities.

Dr. Becky J. Starnes, professor of public management, was notified that her book, 鈥淐hallenges in City Management, A Case Study Approach,鈥 is being translated into Simplified Chinese by Jiangsu People鈥檚 Publishing Ltd. The translated version is expected to be published in August 2016. The English version was published by Taylor and Francis Group Inc.

Dr. Albert Bekus, professor emeritus of languages and literature, had his article, 鈥淭he Joy in Live Release,鈥 published in the summer 2014 issue of the Atlantic Salmon Journal. The article is about Atlantic salmon conservation in the Atlantic Provinces of Canada.

Dr. Thomas King, professor emeritus of music, will make his debut at Cardinal Stage Theatre in Bloomington, Ind., as Robert Livingston in the musical, "1776."

This is his first role in Bloomington after retiring there.
