Dr. Larry Hoehn, emeritus professor of mathematics, had his article, 鈥淎 5-Circle Incidence Theorem,鈥 published in the February issue of MATHEMATICS MAGAZINE, which is one of the primary journals of the Mathematical Association of America. One of the geometric figures in the article was selected to appear on the cover of the journal. The figure is essentially the same one that appeared on the mathematics T-shirts given to outstanding students during the mathematics contests at APSU in 2005.
Joe Mills, assistant vice president for Student Affairs and director of housing, has been selected as a faculty member for the National Housing Training Institute held at the University of Georgia, June 8-14, 2014. The James C. Grimm National Housing Training Institute provides a thorough professional development experience for less-experienced professionals looking to further their career in housing. Participants meet and interact with other colleagues, establish mentor relationships with experts in the field, develop professional development plans, and gain skills and competencies needed to meet the current and future demands of the profession. The institute recognizes the importance of the evolving housing field, and it strives to provide participants with the knowledge and skills they will need to be successful in the ever-changing field.
