Attend AP Day on Nov. 3 for chance to win scholarship

High school students interested in attending Austin Peay State University will get the opportunity to see the campus first hand and possibly win a $3,000 scholarship during the University’s AP Day on Saturday, Nov. 3.

Students who qualify for unconditional admission to APSU for the Fall 2013 semester are eligible for the scholarship drawing. The submission of their AP Day evaluation form will serve as their ticket for the drawing, and the winner will be announced during the APSU vs. Central Missouri basketball game that evening.

Students who qualify for unconditional admission to APSU for the Fall 2013 semester are eligible for the scholarship drawing. The submission of their AP Day evaluation form will serve as their ticket for the drawing, and the winner will be announced during the APSU vs. Central Missouri basketball game that evening.

AP Day serves as an open house that allows guests to tour the campus and meet with professors and current APSU students. Prospective students and their parents will meet with staff from the ºüÀêÊÓƵ, Financial Aid, Housing/Residence Life, and Student Life and Leadership offices. Students and guests will also hear from APSU administrators, the Student Government Association president and other campus leaders and students.

Check-in for the event is 12:30 p.m. that Saturday in the Foy Fitness and Recreation Center. Signs will direct guests to the center. Official AP Day activities end at 5 p.m., but guests can stick around to tour residence halls, talk with staff from financial aid, housing and admissions and check out the bookstore.

Students wishing to attend that day’s football game for free need to request ticket vouchers when they sign up online for AP Day. The scholarship winner will be announced during the game, but students do not need to be present to win.
