Community Nonprofit Leadership Conference to be held at APSU
Austin Peay State University School of Technology and Public Management, the APSU Department of Public Management and Criminal Justice, Hands on Clarksville and the Clarksville Montgomery County Nonprofit Partnership Network are all teaming up on Friday, April 13 for a Nonprofit Management and Leadership Conference at the Morgan University Center.

The first conference 鈥 with the theme 鈥淯nleashing Your Organization鈥檚 Most Important Asset: YOU!鈥 鈥 will include more than 100 nonprofit leaders, board members, students and volunteers who will explore innovative strategies and creative approaches to managing and navigating change.
The conference will take place from 7:15 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The day will begin with a continental breakfast and networking followed by welcome with President Timothy Hall, Nonprofit Day Proclamation on behalf of Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan and opening comments.
Participants will be welcomed at a family-style lunch by Dr. Tristan Denley, provost and vice president of academic affairs, along with County Mayor Carolyn Bowers. Keynote speaker, Debra Palmer George of Palmer Solutions, will lead a session, titled 鈥淭o Be Your Best for the World.鈥
Breakout sessions are offered in areas geared toward nonprofit organizations such as community engagement, collaborative and strategic marketing, governance and operations, finance/risk management, social enterprise and innovation and leadership teams.
In celebration of Clarksville-Montgomery County Nonprofit Day, Hands on Clarksville is asking attendees to bring a child鈥檚 book, stuffed toy or a child-size canvas bag to be donated to Head Start classrooms, Safe House Domestic Violence Shelter and Centerstone鈥檚 RIP Program.
The cost for the daylong conference is $50 and includes meals and all conference materials. Space is limited and reservations must be made in advance.
