鈥淚t鈥檚 APSU at its finest,鈥 Dr. Korre Foster, assistant professor of music, said.
He was referring to the second annual Holiday Dinner, hosted by the APSU Department of Music鈥檚 Choral Program at 7 p.m. on Dec. 3 in the Morgan University Center Ballroom.
鈥淲e started it last year and it was very successful,鈥 Foster said. 鈥淲e had 249 attendees.鈥
In years past, APSU hosted a popular madrigal feast with singers dressed in period costumes and performing skits. Foster decided last year to resurrect the idea of a holiday event, opting this time for a formal dinner featuring performances from auditioned soloists and small groups in addition to all the University鈥檚 choirs.
鈥淚n order to delight in the holidays, there will be music for Christmas, music for Chanukah and an African Christmas piece,鈥 he said.
Tickets for the dinner are $50, but only 300 spots are available. For more information, or to purchase tickets, contact Foster at 221-7002 or fosterk@apsu.edu.
