APSU launches new Facebook app for new students
Austin Peay State University has launched a new APSU Facebook application, called Austin Peay on Facebook, to newly admitted students who are not yet registered for classes.
The Austin Peay on Facebook app encourages heightened online social interaction of APSU new students. It uses students’ self-identified interests and questions to encourage organic relationships online.
The app does not replace the APSU Facebook page; rather, it provides a safe environment (APSU community members only) for group interactions within the app.

This app was debuted to newly accepted students at the recent APSU Last Look event and via email invitations.
Emails also were sent inviting faculty and staff to become a part of this community. The emails came from a company named Inigral, the creator of the app and trusted source.
Faculty and staff should check their email for their invite. The app is another way to communicate with prospective students.
This app likely will be rolled out to current students in the near future.
