Faculty, staff at APSU recognized for contributions
Four faculty and staff employees at Austin Peay State University recently were recognized through their scholarly and professional activities.
Dr. Stuart Bonnington, professor of psychology, will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Tennessee Division of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy at its annual meeting March 4. He has received two other awards from this organization: Service to the Division (1993) and Dedicated Service to the Division (2005).

Dr. LuAnnette Butler, professor of psychology, presented at the Tennessee School Counselor and Administrator Leadership Institute on Feb. 7 in Murfreesboro. The title of her presentation was 鈥淣ot Enough Time to Counsel? Try Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.鈥 Approximately 200 school counselors and administrators attended this session.
Dr. Steve Hamilton, director of the Center of Excellence for Field Biology, had a research article, titled 鈥淭wenty-four new species of Polycentropus (Trichoptera, Polycentropodidae) from Brazil,鈥 published Jan. 19, 2011, in the journal ZooKeys. He wrote the article with colleague Ralph Holzenthal.
Telaina Wrigley, registrar, will present a session on effective ways to implement workflows in March at a summit conference for Sungard.
