APSU Hosts 16th Annual Bread and Words Reading on Nov. 23
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – To help usher in the Thanksgiving holiday, the Austin Peay State University Department of Languages and Literature will host the 16th annual Bread and Words Benefit to raise public awareness of hunger in the local community.
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – To help usher in the Thanksgiving holiday, the Austin Peay State University Department of Languages and Literature will host the 16th annual Bread and Words Benefit to raise public awareness of hunger in the local community.
The event will start with the serving of a simple meal of soup and bread at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 23 in the Morgan University Center Ballroom, followed by a 7 p.m. reading. A donation of $5 for the Salvation Army is requested at the door.
Members and friends of the APSU Department of Languages and Literature interested in preparing pots of soup and loaves of bread may drop off those items shortly before 6 p.m. on the evening of the benefit.
Readers for this year’s event will be Devin Walls, Bryanna Licciardi, Alexa Doran, Charles Booth, Quincy Rhoads and Dr. Amy Wright, assistant professor of English.
Music will be provided by guitarist Chuck Emery.
