APSU Chamber Singers to tour greater Knoxville area
APSUs Chamber Singers will perform multiple concerts Feb. 13-16 in the greater Knoxville area.The Chamber Singers will present a concert at 7 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 13, at Oak Ridge United Methodist Church, 1350 Oak Ridge Turnpike, Oak Ridge. The ensemble also will sing for hundreds of choral students in Knoxville area high schools, including Oak Ridge, Seymour, Powell, Karns and Bearden.
They will perform at Cookeville High School during their return trip to Clarksville.

The repertoire will range from historic works by Sweelinck, Handel and Rheinberger, to modern spirituals and works by contemporary composers, including Virgil Thomson, Rene Clausen and Alice Parker.
The Chamber Singers are under the direction of Dr. Karen Kenaston-French, director of choral activities at APSU.
Recognized as one of the most distinguished choral groups in the southeast, APSU's Chamber Singers have performed for regional and national conventions of the American Choral Directors Association and the Music Educators National Conference. The ensemble is a prominent part of the APSU department of music, which with the art department and the divisions of theater and creative writing form APSU's Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts, Tennessee's only Center of Excellence devoted to the fine arts.
