APSU Chamber Singers presents annual Holiday Choral Concert
Austin Peay State Universitys department of music and the Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts present the annual Holiday Choral Concert.Conducted by Dr. Karen Kenaston-French, assistant professor of music, and Debra Lee Reardon, graduate conductor, the concert will be held at 7:30 p.m., Monday, Dec. 5 in the music/mass communication building concert hall.

Conducted by Dr. Karen Kenaston-French, assistant professor of music, and Debra Lee Reardon, graduate conductor, the concert will be held at 7:30 p.m., Monday, Dec. 5 in the music/mass communication building concert hall.
The concert will include music from the APSU Chamber Singers along with special guests, the Dickson County High School Chamber Singers. The APSU choir will be accompanied by adjunct faculty member and director of the Community School of the Arts Elizabeth Wolynec on piano.
Kenaston-French says, 鈥淲e are really thrilled to have the Dickson County High School Chamber Singers performing on the program with us. They are one of the best high school choirs in the state.
鈥淭heir directors, Cindy Freeman and Michael Meise, are alumni of APSU.鈥
The APSU Chamber Singers will premiere a new piece titled, 鈥淭hree by Emily,鈥 a set of three songs on poems by Emily Dickinson, composed by Dr. George Mabry, professor of music.
鈥淭he program includes a huge variety of music, much of which has a holiday theme to get people into the spirit (of the season),鈥 says Kenaston-French.
The concert is free and open to the public.
