APSU Chamber Singers in concert as part of annual spring tour
The Austin Peay State University Chamber Singers will perform in February in Cordova as part of the groups annual spring concert tour.The Chamber Singers will be in concert at 7 p.m., Monday, Feb. 6 at Covenant United Methodist Church in Cordova. The performance is free of charge and open to the public.

The Chamber Singers will be in concert at 7 p.m., Monday, Feb. 6 at Covenant United Methodist Church in Cordova. The performance is free of charge and open to the public.
The concert will feature a range of musical styles and composers from the Renaissance to present day. Works will include 鈥淭hree by Emily鈥 by APSU's Dr. George Mabry; three pieces by contemporary American composer Libby Larsen; and Frank Ticheli's setting of poet Sara Teasdale's 鈥淭here Will Be Rest.鈥
The 30-member ensemble tours each year, primarily to high schools in Tennessee to promote APSU's department of music and recruit young vocalists to the University.
Chamber Singers is conducted by Dr. Karen Kenaston-French, director of choral activities at Austin Peay. She is assisted by Elizabeth Wolynec, accompanist and director of APSU's Community School of the Arts.
