APSU awards Bridge Scholarships to Upward Bound students

Austin Peay has awarded High School Upward Bound Bridge Scholarships to eight students from Montgomery County.

The High School Upward Bound program is a federally funded grant program that provides services to potential first-generation college students. The scholarship is worth approximately $2,000 and includes tuition for two courses, textbooks and supplies at APSU.

This years recipients are:

•Cindy Black, daughter of William and Mary Black, Southside

•DeAnna Parsons, daughter of Alexander and Selma Parsons, Clarksville
