Currently, Conwell is busy piecing together taboo and repressed elements of being a woman to communicate visually.
鈥淚t's profound how diverse women can be, yet we all share the fact we came from one,鈥 she said.
鈥淟a Femme鈥 brings to light some of the more tantalizing aspects of feminism.
鈥淲omen hold the power to cultivate, procreate and choose their own path,鈥 Conwell said.
Conwell's inspiration for the exhibit stems from her travels in documenting various burlesque, gypsy and tribal belly dance troupes from around the country.
"The bohemian subculture really inspired me to try and share it with others,鈥 she said. 鈥淚 can only hope I managed to capture a glimpse of that romance in my show.鈥
