The cold drizzle that fell all day Saturday, Nov. 15, failed to dampen the spirits of the 600 people who attended Austin Peay State University's annual AP Day.
According to Dr. Houston Davis, assistant vice president for academic affairs, 150 faculty and staff helped during the eventfrom sharing information on financial aid and scholarships to answering questions about specific academic programs.
Staff members from the 狐狸视频 and Financial Aid offices passed out information sheets and answered countless questions about the new HOPE Lottery Scholarship.
In addition to 150 faculty and staff, 50 APSU students volunteered their time Saturday to talk with prospective students and their parents.
鈥淢any times I had parents stop me and mention how much better this 鈥榗ampus day' was than another one that they had attended,鈥 Davis says. 鈥淲ithout fail, the thing they appreciated most was the personal attention from the faculty, staff and current students.鈥
Plans are underway for a similar day, designed specifically for nontraditional students, in April 2004.
