American Brass Quintet takes the stage Nov. 4
The APSU/Clarksville Community Concert Artist Series continues with a performance by the American Brass Quintet.Termed positively breathtaking by The New York Times, the ensemble will take the stage at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 4, in APSUs music/mass communication building concert theatre.
The concert will conclude a two-day residency by the quintet, during which they will lead master classes and clinics for local high school and University brass players.

The concert will conclude a two-day residency by the quintet, during which they will lead master classes and clinics for local high school and University brass players.
The American Brass Quintet, which is the ensemble-in-residence at the Juilliard School and the Aspen Music Festival, gave its first public performance in December 1960. Since then, “the high priests of brass,” as Newsweek has called them, have performed in all 50 states, as well as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and the Kennedy Center. The ensemble also has toured Europe, Central and South America, the Middle East, Asia and Australia. The group has made more than 45 recordings and fulfilled more than 100 commissions for brass quintet compositions.
Tickets are $25 adults, $12 students.
The concert is sponsored by the APSU/Clarksville Community Concert Artist Series, APSU's Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts and First Federal Savings Bank.
