The screenings are made possible through funding from the APSU Faculty Student Success Grant. Students in the allied health department's Medical Technology and Radiologic Technology programs will assist at the event.
The Medical Technology Program at APSU prepares a student to pursue a career as a clinical laboratory professional/medical technologist. APSU offers a degree program in which a student can complete the necessary coursework in four years. Medical Technologists work in all areas of the clinical laboratory, including blood banking, chemistry, hematology, immunology and microbiology.
