Accounting students offer free tax-prep sessions

APSUs accounting students are offering free tax-preparation seminars. Volunteers will use TaxWise and IRS e-File programs to assist taxpayers with their 2004 basic tax returns.

To be eligible, you must have an income less than $35,000, and you cannot be a business owner or investor.

Sessions will be held from noon to 5 p.m., Friday, Feb. 4 and 11, and 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 5 and 12, in Kimbrough 214.

Bring a photo ID, Social Security card or other form of identification and forms W2 and 1099 or any other document needed to complete your tax return.
