Academic Decathlon results announced
APSU announces the results of the Tennessee State Academic Decathlon, held Feb. 25-26 on campus.The Academic Decathlon is an academic competition for high school students across the state. Students test their knowledge of language and literature, music, art, math, science and economics. They also participate in speech and interview competitions.

This year's top students took home bronze, silver and gold medals, and the top five teams overall were awarded team trophies. The top five teams were:
•First-place: Madison Academic Magnet High School, Jackson
•Second-place: Liberty Technology Magnet High School, Jackson
•Third-place: Chester County High School, Henderson
•Fourth-place: Haywood High School, Brownsville
•Fifth-place: Northside High School, Jackson
State champion Madison Academic Magnet High School will represent Tennessee in the National Decathlon in Chicago.
