Eight graduate students at Austin Peay State University were awarded funding through the Graduate Student Research Grant Program totaling $7,200 for 2007-08.
The grants — all but one awarded to students studying biology — are funded by the Student Success Initiatives in Graduate Studies at APSU. The other grant was awarded to a student seeking a master's in English.
Dr. Charles Pinder, dean of the College of Graduate Studies, said the awards provide APSU graduate students with additional sources of financial support for their research or creative and scholarly activities. The grants also promote excellence in graduate education, he said.
