42nd Annual Student Art Exhibition under way
The Austin Peay State University Department of Art is holding the 42nd Annual Student Art Exhibition this spring.The show, co-sponsored by the Student Art League of the APSU art department and the Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts, is now open in the Trahern Gallery and through March 26. The event is free and open to the public.
This show is important because it showcases original content that is being generated by the students, Warren Green, assistant professor of art and Trahern Gallery director, said.

鈥淭his show is important because it showcases original content that is being generated by the students,鈥 Warren Green, assistant professor of art and Trahern Gallery director, said.
First-, second- and third-place awards, as well as honorable mention, will be presented to the top works in graphic design, 2-D studio art and 3-D studio art. A Best of Show Award and a Purchase Award from the Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts will also be presented.
This year's exhibition is being juried by Caroline Carlisle, owner of the Twist Art Gallery in Nashville, and Lorilee Rager, founder of the graphic design and marketing firm Thrive.
