3 of 9 summer interns in state's ‘Careers Now Program' are APSU students

Austin Peay State University has been successful in securing summer internships for three students through the state of Tennessees Careers NOW Program.

Of only nine students chosen statewide for the summer internships, three are from Austin Peay, according to Barbara Blackston, director of APSUs Career and Advisement Center.

Through this internship, college students can earn money, college credit and experience while working for the state in a program sponsored by Tennessees constitutional officers.

Through this internship, college students can earn money, college credit and experience while working for the state in a program sponsored by Tennessee's constitutional officers.

Sonya Grewal, Clarksville, is working with the Treasury Department in the Internal Audit Division. Grewal, the wife of Jayinder Grewal, is a senior/second-degree student majoring in business with a concentration in accounting.

Working as an intern in the Office of the Secretary of State for the Economic Council on Women Division is Candice Kirkland, Cumberland Furnace. Kirkland, the daughter of Eli and Deborah Yoder, is a senior English major with minors in creative writing and women's studies.

Ashland City resident Daniel Rodocker, the son of Ron and Phyllis Rodocker, is working in the Retired Payroll Division of the Treasury Department. Rodocker is a senior business major with a concentration in finance.
