Deal will present ceramics and illustration work focusing on the human condition 鈥 how humans are as individuals and how they interact within families.
鈥淗umans are basically armatures supporting a complicated mass of feelings, emotions, thoughts and environmental influences,鈥 Deal said. 鈥淢y work is figurative because I want to explore and honor the human condition.鈥
For his portion of the exhibit, Pruitt has created a fictitious office survival guide, based on his work experiences in the corporate environment, and designed various corporate logos.
鈥淚 worked in a cubicle, and that inspired me to have fun with the concept through graphic design,鈥 Pruitt said. 鈥淭he guide will show what someone might include in a cubicle and music you can play while working.鈥
Both student artists, who attended Greenbrier High School together, are scheduled to graduate in May from APSU with Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees.
