2 award-winning graphic designers to speak to students about entertainment
Two Grammy Award-winning graphic design artists this week will visit Austin Peay State University to talk to art students about graphic design and illustration in the entertainment business.Vartan Kurjian, art director at MCA/Universal Music in Los Angeles, and Andy Engel of Andy Engel Design will present a talk at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 8 in the Trahern Theatre, Room 402. The presentation is hosted by the APSU Department of Art.
Two Grammy Award-winning graphic design artists this week will visit Austin Peay State University to talk to art students about graphic design and illustration in the entertainment business.
Vartan Kurjian, art director at MCA/Universal Music in Los Angeles, and Andy Engel of Andy Engel Design will present a talk at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 8 in the Trahern Theatre, Room 402. The presentation is hosted by the APSU Department of Art.
Kurjian has been an art director for MCA/Universal Music for 25 years. Engel has been designing and illustrating album covers, CD covers and movie posters for the same length of time. Both men often work together, having won several Grammy Awards for their work.
