2 art students to present work in exhibit tonight
Two Austin Peay State University students have teamed together to present an art exhibit this week.Megan Nicole Ellis and William Arnett Gentry, both senior art majors, will open their show with a reception from 6-9 tonight at the Customs House Museum and Cultural Center, Clarksville. The exhibit, open to the public, will remain available for viewing between 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Wednesday-Friday, Nov. 15-17.
There will not be a fee charged on opening night. There will be a fee of $2 for students and $4 for regular admission for the remainder of the exhibit.

Ellis' work is video installation dealing with environmental appreciation.
鈥淐onservation, renewable energy and environmental awareness need to be as common as reading, writing and arithmetic,鈥 Ellis said.
Gentry's portion of the exhibit will be presented in a mixed-media format, using sculpture and mono prints, dealing with societal issues of obesity and overindulgence.
鈥淥ur stomachs are gas tanks that have been overfilled and are spilling fatty oil into the streams of our vascular systems,鈥 Gentry said.
