2 adjunct faculty to perform in New York City, work on album

Two adjunct faculty members at Austin Peay State University will perform at Steinway Hall in New York City later this month.

Elizabeth Wolynec, coordinator of the Community School of the Arts at APSU and adjunct professor of piano, and Brian Horner, adjunct professor of music, will perform together Saturday, May 13 at Steinway Hall in New York City.

Wolynec, pianist, and Horner, saxophonist, will play the music of M. Zachary Johnson, whose music is written for saxophone and piano.

Elizabeth Wolynec, coordinator of the Community School of the Arts at APSU and adjunct professor of piano, and Brian Horner, adjunct professor of music, will perform together Saturday, May 13 at Steinway Hall in New York City.

Wolynec, pianist, and Horner, saxophonist, will play the music of M. Zachary Johnson, whose music is written for saxophone and piano.

Both Wolynec and Horner are working with Johnson to record an album of his saxophone compositions. Selections will include 鈥淪cherzo鈥 for alto saxophone and piano, 鈥淪erenade鈥 for solo alto saxophone, 鈥淪olitude鈥 for solo piano and 鈥淕rand Sonata in C sharp鈥 for alto saxophone and piano.

Wolynec said the album is slated for release within a year.
