19th Annual Governors Golf Classic Set for Aug. 13
Sponsored by the Governors Club, the 19th annual Governors Golf Classic will be held Aug. 13 at Swan Lake Golf Course.The four-person scramble will be limited to 60 teams, with shotgun starts at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. For the first time, men and womens divisions have been established. Cost is $400 per team, or $100 per person. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit APSU athletics.
Prizes will be awarded to the top finishers of each round, along with other designated random finishers. In addition, special hole prizes will be awarded.

Players 65 and older may hit from the senior tees, while women may hit from the ladies' tees.
Prior to the game, a dinner will be held at 6 p.m., Friday, Aug. 12, at the Charles Hand Farm. Music will be provided by the Clarence Dobbins Review. Individuals who don't plan on playing still can attend the dinner. The cost is $30 per couple.
